Sharp Coronado Hospital Achieves ACEP Accreditation
In a significant achievement, Sharp Coronado Hospital has become the first emergency department in California to receive the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Level 2 Emergency Department Accreditation. This three-year accreditation ensures that in an emergency, the care you receive at Sharp Coronado meets high standards for quality and safety.
The accreditation process involved an independent review confirming that the emergency department is run by qualified emergency physicians, supported by the necessary staff and resources 24/7, and continually monitored for quality. This makes Sharp Coronado one of only two hospitals in the nation with this Level 2 status, highlighting its commitment to excellent emergency care.
