Prime Minister Modi Arrives in Paris for Key Engagements

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Paris on Wednesday for the final leg of his trip to France. His arrival was met with enthusiasm from the Indian community members gathered outside his hotel, who welcomed him with cheers and warm smiles.

Taking to social media, PM Modi expressed his pride in the Indian diaspora’s efforts to strengthen ties between India and France. He emphasized the importance of their partnership for the global community, stating, “I am proud of their efforts in bringing India and France closer. The India-France partnership is vital for the progress of our planet.”

This visit follows his participation in the G7 Summit in Evian, where he discussed important global topics such as governance, artificial intelligence (AI), and collaboration with the Global South.

While in Paris, PM Modi is expected to attend the VivaTech Summit, Europe’s largest tech and startup event. He plans to showcase India’s growing innovation landscape and technological progress. Additionally, he will address the Indian community at a special event designed for the diaspora.

One member of the Indian community expressed excitement about the Prime Minister’s visit, saying, “I hope to see the Prime Minister at the AI VivaTech summit and to work together on AI projects between India and France.”

Rahis Bharti, a cultural director who leads groups like the Dhoad Gypsies and the Jaipur Maharaja Brass Band, called it a proud moment for Indian culture to be showcased during the Prime Minister’s time in France. “Our group has been invited to present the culture and art of Rajasthan. We are preparing for a warm welcome for PM Modi, just as we celebrate Diwali here,” he shared.

Earlier, after finishing his activities at the G7 Summit, PM Modi shared that his meetings were fruitful and highlighted India’s perspective on governance while stressing the need for global cooperation, particularly with the Global South.

During his time at the summit, he also participated in discussions on AI, advocating for ethical and human-centered technology development and ensuring that emerging technologies benefit developing countries.
