Television actress Sanchita Ugale, known for her roles in popular shows like “Kumkum Bhagya” and “Wagle Ki Duniya,” tragically passed away at the young age of 22. The sad event occurred on June 14 at her home in Nalasopara East, Maharashtra. Reports indicate that she was discovered in her residence at Sai Santoshi Building in Aachole Village.
Family members and neighbors quickly took her to Vasai-Virar Municipal Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death. Assistant Police Inspector Vinod Bagh from the Achole Police Station confirmed that Sanchita had locked herself in her bedroom and was later found hanging from a ceiling fan using a saree. This incident is believed to have happened between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM.
Following the incident, police arrived at the scene to conduct necessary legal procedures, including preparing an inquest report before sending her body for a post-mortem examination. An Accidental Death Report (ADR) was filed based on a complaint from her father, Machhindra Ugale.
Police officials mentioned that they have not yet determined the exact reasons behind her actions and that they are exploring all possibilities as the investigation continues.
The news of Sanchita’s passing has shocked the television community and her fans, who recognized her from her roles on TV and digital platforms. Over the past few years, she had carved out a place for herself in the industry, gaining fame for her character Diya Tandon in the long-running drama “Kumkum Bhagya” and for her role as Ruchita Jaitley in “Wagle Ki Duniya.” More recently, she played a lead role in Dangal TV’s “Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi,” opposite Sorab Bedi.
