Netflix has officially announced its latest courtroom thriller titled Ikka, starring Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna. The film, directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, is set to premiere on July 10 and marks Sunny Deol’s first film for the streaming giant.

In Ikka, audiences can expect a gripping showdown between Deol and Khanna as they reunite on-screen after many years. The story unfolds in a high-stakes courtroom environment, exploring themes of justice, family, and the impact of past choices.

Sunny Deol portrays a renowned lawyer who finds himself defending a man from his past, played by Akshaye Khanna. This unexpected reunion forces Deol’s character to deal with unresolved emotions as he balances personal connections with professional obligations. The narrative promises to be suspenseful, where each choice carries significant weight.

The film also features talented actors Tillotama Shome and Dia Mirza in key roles. Tillotama plays a determined public prosecutor, while Dia takes on the role of a mother working to keep her family intact during a turbulent time.

Monika Shergill, Vice President of Content at Netflix India, commented on the film, saying, “Ikka captures the essence of a compelling courtroom drama, filled with moral dilemmas and emotional intensity. This film not only marks Sunny Deol’s debut on Netflix but also brings together an exceptional cast to deliver a story that resonates.”

Produced by Alchemy Films, Ikka reunites director Siddharth P. Malhotra with Netflix after their previous partnership on Maharaj. Malhotra shared his excitement, noting his long-standing passion for courtroom stories that explore emotional and relational complexities alongside the quest for justice.

With challenging decisions, emotional turmoil, and a courtroom battle that transcends legal arguments, Ikka promises to deliver an engaging experience for viewers. Catch it exclusively on Netflix starting July 10.
