He revealed that after Afghanistan’s recent Test match against India, he had an insightful discussion with Gambhir about improving his batting technique. “I had a wonderful chat with GG sir after the Test match,” Gurbaz shared. “He advised me on shot selection, which I focused on during practice. I’m really thankful because that guidance helped me today.”
In a match where Afghanistan managed to put up 194 runs, Gurbaz stood out as the key player, with Hashmatullah Shahidi being the next highest scorer with just 27 runs.
