Shreyas Talpade and Kajal Aggarwal are set to star in the upcoming film The India Story. Last month, the team shared a poster, and it’s been announced that the teaser will be released online on June 5.
According to our sources, the teaser will highlight the serious issue of chemical misuse in agriculture, especially pesticides, and its effects on public health. The filmmakers believe the teaser will provide a deeper insight into the film’s themes, presenting startling facts that resonate with the audience.
The movie aims to spark discussions about food safety and the consequences of industrial negligence. It’s produced by Zee Studios in collaboration with MIG Production & Studios, directed by Chettan DK, and the script was penned by Sagar B Shinde.
The India Story, also known as The India Story: Slow Poison In Progress, goes beyond one family’s ordeal and addresses a larger crisis affecting the nation. It questions corporate responsibility and the necessity for regulatory changes.
Co-producers include Sumit Bagade, Anita Jadhav, and others, with a supporting technical team featuring DOP Nishant Bhagwat, music composer Mangesh Dhakde, and editor Ashish Mhatre.
Mark your calendars, as The India Story is set to hit theaters on July 24, 2026, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions, making it a worldwide release by Zee Studios.
