FPT and SATS Ink Deal for AI Collaboration

In a significant move for the aviation and logistics sectors, global technology company FPT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SATS Ltd, a key player in air cargo handling and in-flight catering services. This partnership aims to explore collaborative projects centered around artificial intelligence (AI) and digital innovation, focusing on Singapore, Vietnam, and the wider Asia-Pacific (APAC) area.

The MOU positions SATS’ extensive knowledge in ground handling and catering alongside FPT’s strong expertise in AI and digital transformation. Together, they plan to investigate ways to modernize aviation logistics, boost operational efficiency, enhance resilience, and improve passenger experiences in the rapidly changing APAC region, particularly in Singapore and Vietnam.

The logistics and aviation industries in APAC are currently evolving at a remarkable pace. With Singapore continuing to shine as a top global aviation and logistics hub and Vietnam emerging as one of the fastest-growing markets in supply chain management, the need for AI-driven operational improvements has never been greater.

David Nguyen, Senior Vice President at FPT Software and CEO of FPT Asia Pacific, highlighted the urgency of AI adoption, stating, “AI application has moved beyond the hype to deliver real gains in efficiency, cost savings, and service quality. We aim to be a trusted partner for AI transformation in logistics and aviation, ensuring that Singapore and Vietnam lead in global supply chain excellence.”

Bob Chi, CEO of APAC Gateway Services at SATS, added, “This MOU shows our intent to explore collaboration opportunities and set the groundwork for future discussions. As we are still in the exploratory phase, we see exciting potential in aligning our strategic goals.”

FPT has been driving digital transformation across over 500 major organizations in sectors such as aviation, logistics, healthcare, and finance. Using its expertise in AI, cloud services, and data management, FPT helps companies enhance their operations and business outcomes. The firm leverages its advanced FleziPT platform and a global team of over 30,000 AI-enhanced engineers, along with strategic partnerships, to maintain its position as a leader in this rapidly evolving landscape.

In summary, this partnership marks a progressive step toward integrating cutting-edge technology in the vital sectors of aviation and logistics, promising a brighter future for both Singapore and Vietnam.
