Fans of Alia Bhatt and Sharvari are in for some exciting news! The release of their upcoming film, Alpha, has been moved up. It was originally set to debut on July 10 but will now hit theaters on July 3 instead.
A source from a major multiplex chain shared that July 3 turned out to be a perfect date since Dhamaal 4, which was also planned for that day, has been pushed back to July 17. With no major releases on July 3, producer Aditya Chopra decided it was the ideal time for Alpha to make its debut.
A trade expert noted that this scheduling shift could work in Alpha’s favor, as it will have a two-week window to perform well at the box office without competing Bollywood films, particularly since no films are set to be released on July 10 either.
Alpha is the latest installment in the YRF Spy Universe and boasts a star-studded cast, including Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor, along with Alia and Sharvari. Directed by Shiv Rawail, known for the acclaimed series The Railway Men, the film offers an intriguing twist.
Reports indicate that Alia Bhatt’s character will be a departure from the typical roles seen in the YRF Spy Universe. Unlike the standard spy characters, she will portray an assassin, adding a fresh dynamic to the storyline. A senior trade source mentioned that this new direction makes for a more interesting narrative, bringing in a character who operates in moral gray areas, thus keeping the audience engaged.
With the excitement building, this film promises to be a significant shift for the YRF Spy Universe and is certainly one to watch out for!
