Ranveer Singh Responds to Don 3 Controversy

Actor Ranveer Singh has spoken out about the controversy surrounding his exit from the upcoming film, Don 3. This follows an announcement from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) stating that they would not work with him until the issue was resolved. In light of these developments, Singh’s spokesperson released a statement providing clarity on the actor’s position.

The controversy first emerged when reports indicated that Ranveer had stepped away from Don 3 just weeks before filming was set to start. He had previously been announced as the new lead for the popular franchise in 2023, which is produced by Excel Entertainment and directed by Farhan Akhtar.

On May 25, 2026, FWICE revealed during a press conference their non-cooperative directive concerning Singh, igniting a wave of responses on social media from fans who expressed their disappointment.

Following this, producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani lodged a formal complaint with industry organizations, leading to FWICE’s action against the actor.

In the recent statement, Singh’s spokesperson emphasized that the actor has chosen to remain silent out of respect for the franchise and those involved. The statement read, “Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and everyone associated with Don. He believes that such matters are best addressed with dignity and mutual respect.”

The spokesperson also highlighted that Singh does not feel compelled to publicly respond to every rumor or speculation. “His focus remains firmly on his work,” it added.

Furthermore, the statement reinforced that Singh continues to wish success for the Don franchise, emphasizing his respect and goodwill for everyone involved.

This situation has sparked a lively debate among fans, with opinions split on Singh’s decision to remain quiet. While some applaud his dignified stance, others speculate on the reasons for his departure from the project.

Currently, there has been no new remarks from Farhan Akhtar or Excel Entertainment concerning the ongoing issue.
