FPT Launches Flezi Foundry: A New AI-Enhanced Platform for Software and IT Operations
Global IT company FPT has introduced Flezi Foundry, a software development and IT operations platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI). This innovative platform uses a managed Service-as-a-Software model that combines AI agents with human oversight. The goal is to help businesses modernize their technology delivery processes, integrating AI seamlessly into software engineering and IT tasks.
Flezi Foundry employs a method called Agentic Engineering, which carefully incorporates AI agents into delivery workflows while ensuring human supervision. This structure emphasizes governance, transparency, and performance measurement throughout the process.
The platform operates in two primary modes:
-
Agentic Development Lifecycle (ADLC): This mode enhances software development by involving specialized AI agents in various stages, including planning, coding, review, testing, security, and documentation. With human oversight, ADLC aims to boost productivity and quality, potentially increasing output by up to 30% without additional costs.
-
Agentic Managed Services (AMS): Similar to ADLC, this mode applies the AI-agent collaboration to IT operations. Operations agents assist with tasks such as alert triage, incident resolution, and service improvement, allowing businesses to enhance response times and automation. At full maturity, AMS aims to automate 60% to 90% of initial support requests while ensuring high service-level compliance.
Flezi Foundry is built on four key principles:
- A hybrid infrastructure that combines Azure Virtual Private Cloud with FPT’s AI Factory.
- Hybrid FTE Pods, where human supervisors oversee AI agents via Human-in-the-Loop and Human-on-the-Loop models.
- Capacity-based pricing, which is connected to story-point velocity and outcome-based service level agreements (SLAs).
- A Digital Brain and Skill Marketplace, designed to capture reusable resources and expertise.
To promote a low-risk transition, FPT offers a clear pathway for adoption. This involves an initial workshop to establish baselines, followed by pilot tests and shadow operations before full deployment.
Frank Bignone, Senior Vice President of FPT Software, emphasized that “Agentic AI is taking enterprise technology delivery to a new level, embedding intelligence not just in tools, but within the operating model itself.” He noted that Flezi Foundry aims to foster a collaborative environment where software development and IT operations thrive with speed and accountability.
The launch of Flezi Foundry is part of FPT’s broader strategy to prioritize AI, extending their existing AI-first platform, FleziPT, into new areas of software and IT management. Together with FPT’s established AI Factories in Vietnam and Japan, this platform underscores the company’s commitment to AI-driven services, repeatable practices, and result-oriented engagement methods.
