Summer Camps at Arkansas Tech University Aimed at High School Students

This June, Arkansas Tech University is offering two free summer camps to help junior high and high school students gain essential skills for the future.

CAKE Camp: June 8-12

The Arkansas Gifted and Talented Creativity, Agriculture, and Knowledge of Enterprise (CAKE) Camp will be held from June 8 to 12 on the ATU campus in Russellville. This camp is for students entering grades 10-12 for the 2026-27 school year.

Participants will dive into Arkansas’s food and tourism sectors through hands-on experiences like agricultural labs, agri-tourism studies, and personal enterprise projects. The camp focuses on building skills in problem-solving, analysis, and teamwork, while also providing practical applications of what the students learn.

For more information and registration, interested participants can visit the official registration link.

Mobile Human Sciences Camp: June 15-19

Following the CAKE Camp, the Mobile Human Sciences Camp will take place from June 15 to 19, also at the ATU campus. This camp is open to students entering grades 8-12 in the 2026-27 academic year.

In partnership with the University of Arkansas and the USDA, the Mobile Human Sciences Camp offers students a hands-on experience in industries like apparel, hospitality, and nutrition. This immersive program will help students explore high-demand career options.
