Hyatt Hotels Announces Leadership Change in the Americas
On May 12th, Hyatt Hotels Corporation revealed that Adam Rohman will take on the role of Head of Americas starting July 1, 2026. He will be stepping in for Pete Sears, who is retiring after an impressive 40-year career at Hyatt.
Currently, Rohman holds the position of Senior Vice President, where he is responsible for Investor Relations, Global Financial Planning & Analysis, and serves as Treasurer. In his upcoming role, he will manage operations in the Americas region, which includes Hyatt’s Classics, Essentials, and Luxury hotel brands. He will also lead the global brand strategy for the Classics and Essentials portfolios.
Mark Hoplamazian, Hyatt’s Chairman, President, and CEO, expressed confidence in Rohman’s abilities. “Adam is a respected leader with a deep understanding of our business and strong connections throughout the organization. I’m excited to see him lead the Americas into a new era and build on the strong foundation that Pete has established,” he said.
Rohman brings over 20 years of experience with Hyatt. He started his journey in finance roles at various hotel properties and progressed to key positions, including Senior Vice President of Finance for the Americas and Global Head of Asset Management.
“Adam knows our business well and values the importance of relationships with hotel owners, operators, guests, and team members,” added Hoplamazian. “His thoughtful leadership and commitment to our company culture make him an excellent fit for this position.”
Pete Sears and Adam Rohman will collaborate during the transition period to ensure everything goes smoothly. Sears will remain with Hyatt as a Senior Advisor for a while after June 30 to help maintain focus on important priorities and relationships. Meanwhile, the search for Rohman’s successor is currently underway.
