White House Remains Tight-Lipped on Iran’s Proposal

Washington: On Friday, the White House chose not to disclose any specifics about private talks regarding Iran’s recent proposal to the United States, which was relayed through Pakistani intermediaries.

Spokeswoman Anna Kelly stated, “We do not share details of private diplomatic discussions.” She emphasized that President Trump has made it clear that Iran should never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. Kelly added that negotiations are ongoing to protect both the short-term and long-term security interests of the United States.
