The success of Dhurandhar (2025) and its sequel Dhurandhar The Revenge (2026) has brought joy to everyone involved in the franchise, including veteran actor Rakesh Bedi. Known for his fantastic comic timing and impressive career, Bedi has gained even more popularity thanks to his role in these films.

Sources reveal that the producers, impressed by Bedi’s performance and the audience’s love for his character, decided to reward him with a significant bonus, exceeding his original pay.

A source close to the production shared, “As Jameel Jamali, Rakesh Bedi truly captivated the audience. His lines have become famous in meme culture, and the plot twist surrounding his character in the sequel increased his impact even more. The producers recognized his effort and wanted to express their gratitude by giving him extra payment.”

Initially, Bedi received ₹50 lakhs for both Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar The Revenge. However, following the success of the sequel, director and producer Aditya Dhar, along with his brother Lokesh Dhar, presented Bedi with a cheque for ₹1 crore, effectively doubling his payment for the series.

The source added, “Aditya Dhar has already shown his exceptional talent as a filmmaker with the Dhurandhar series and Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019). His generous gesture also shows that he is a remarkable person. It’s not common for producers to make such kind moves.”

Produced by Aditya and Lokesh Dhar’s B62 Studios, along with Jyoti Deshpande’s Jio Studios, both films feature a star-studded cast, including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The first movie followed a spy’s mission infiltrating Pakistan’s political scene, while the sequel continued his journey of serving his country with dedication. Rakesh Bedi takes on the role of Jameel Jamali, a clever politician in Pakistan’s Awami Party.

In summary, Bedi’s captivating performance has not only won the hearts of audiences but also received well-deserved recognition from the film’s producers.
