Nation Stands Together Against Terrorism, Says Rahul Gandhi
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi emphasized the unity of the nation against terrorism during a tribute on Wednesday for the victims of a terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Marking the first anniversary of this tragic event, he expressed deep condolences for those who lost their lives.
Gandhi stated that India will always remember the sacrifices made by these individuals and the pain experienced by their families. “We will never forget their bravery, nor will we forgive those responsible for this cowardly act,” he said.
He further shared how the loss of innocent lives still deeply affects the nation, saying, “The grief of the martyrs’ families is a grief shared by all of us.” He underscored the importance of remembering these heroes, noting that their sacrifice will remain forever in the heart of India.
The leader highlighted the country’s enduring strength against terrorism, affirming, “India will not bow to forces that spread hatred and fear.” He called for greater unity in the face of such challenges.
The tragic attack, carried out by the Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed the lives of 26 individuals, many of whom were tourists from various states in India. Following the assault, India launched a military response known as Operation Sindoor to eliminate terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and areas it occupies.
As the nation reflects on this sorrowful day, Gandhi’s message resonates with many, reinforcing a spirit of resilience and solidarity in the fight against violence.
