Nominations Open for Washingtonian’s Tech Titans List

Every September, Washingtonian reveals its annual list of Tech Titans, celebrating about 250 individuals who are making a significant impact in the local technology scene. This group includes entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, policy experts, non-profit leaders, and government officials—essentially, anyone contributing to innovation in the Washington, D.C. area.

The list is compiled by reporters who engage with key players in the tech community, identifying the true leaders and innovators. However, the publication welcomes nominations from the public as well. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Eligibility: Nominees must live and work primarily in the Washington, D.C. region, which encompasses not only the city itself but also Northern Virginia and suburban Maryland.

  • How to Nominate: To put someone forward, send an email to techtitans@washingtonian.com. Include the nominee’s name and title, along with a brief explanation (under 200 words) of why you believe they deserve to be recognized as a Tech Titan, highlighting their contributions and significance.

  • Deadline: This year’s nominations close on May 25, 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to shine a light on those who are shaping the future of technology in the area!
