Varun Dhawan has kicked off 2026 on a positive note, thanks to the success of his film Border 2. He is now getting ready for the release of his upcoming movie, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. This film, known for its light-hearted and entertaining vibe, marks a reunion with his father, David Dhawan, for the third time.
Recently, insiders have revealed that the film’s release might be moved up from June 12 to May 22, giving fans something to look forward to sooner than expected. The decision comes as the film is nearly ready, and there appears to be limited competition in theaters during the second half of May, especially with summer vacations approaching. This timing could be perfect for attracting both young audiences and families.
A source mentioned that a final decision on the new release date would be made soon. If the change is confirmed, an official announcement will follow shortly.
Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai features Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur and is produced by Ramesh Taurani of Tips. Just a few days ago, Tips announced its return to movie distribution with this film.
Initially set to release on June 5, the date shifted to June 12 after another film, Toxic, moved to June 4. If the release does get pushed to May 22, it will avoid a clash with Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga, starring Diljit Dosanjh. However, it will face competition from Karan Johar’s romantic drama Chand Mera Dil, as well as Anurag Kashyap’s Bandar and Milap Zaveri’s Tera Yaar Hoon Main, all arriving on the same weekend.
Fans are excited and eagerly waiting for further updates on Varun Dhawan’s next film!
