Expanded Consular Services for Indian Nationals in the Western U.S.

Indian nationals and other applicants in the western United States now have improved access to essential consular services, thanks to a recent update from the Consulate General of India in Los Angeles.

In an official announcement, the consulate shared that beginning April 6, 2026, Indian Visa and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) services will be available at the Los Angeles Consulate. This news is particularly beneficial for residents in Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico.

However, it’s important to note that applications for passports, Government Employment Pass (GEP), Police Clearance Certificates (PCC), and Surrender Certificates will still be handled by the Consulate General in San Francisco. All applications from the specified regions should be submitted at VFS Los Angeles.

The consulate expressed its eagerness to assist the Indian community and all applicants within its jurisdiction, reflecting a commitment to enhancing services as the demand for consular support continues to rise.
