Pakistan Super League 2026 to Kick Off Soon

The much-anticipated 2026 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) will begin on March 26. Lahore Qalandars, the reigning champions, will start the tournament as they look to defend their title. Under the leadership of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Lahore is expected to be a strong contender once again. The tournament will run from March 26 to May 3, featuring eight teams after the league’s recent expansion, and will comprise a total of 44 matches.

In an exciting opening match, the Qalandars will face off against the new franchise, Hyderabad Kingsmen, at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. This clash promises to be thrilling, with Lahore bringing their wealth of experience against the fresh energy of a new team.

This year’s PSL will look a bit different. Instead of being held across six venues, the matches will now take place in just two cities—Lahore and Karachi. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that Gaddafi Stadium and National Bank Stadium will host all the games, simplifying operations and travel for teams.

The tournament’s initial matches will all be played in Lahore, after which the action will shift to Karachi. The playoffs will be divided between the two venues, with the Qualifier moving from Rawalpindi to Karachi. Lahore will host the Eliminators and the final on May 3.

In a major change, the PSL 11 will kick off without fans in attendance due to ongoing regional issues and fuel restrictions. There will also be no opening ceremony this year, making the start quieter compared to previous seasons. However, with the defending champions and a new franchise in play, fans can still expect plenty of excitement from the matches.

Match Timing

Day matches will start at 3 PM IST (2:30 PM local time), while night matches are scheduled for 7:30 PM IST (7:00 PM local time).

Coverage

Unfortunately, there will be no live telecast or streaming options for the PSL 2026 matches in India.
