Israel Launches Major Airstrike on Tehran with Over 80 Fighter Jets

JERUSALEM: Israel’s military reported that over 80 fighter jets carried out a series of strikes on Iranian military sites and missile launchers across Tehran and central Iran on Saturday.

In a statement, the military noted that these strikes targeted critical infrastructure associated with the Iranian regime. This operation marks one of the largest raids by Israel since the regional conflict escalated on February 28. Among the key targets was a military academy linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, which was reportedly being utilized for emergency military operations.

The statement emphasized that this facility, used for military actions, was considered a valid military target. Additionally, strikes were aimed at an underground command center, missile storage facilities, and launch sites. The goal was to decrease the missile threats directed toward Israel.

At the beginning of the conflict, Israel, in coordination with the United States, conducted extensive attacks on Iran. According to the military, around 200 fighter jets were involved in that operation, making it the most significant action in the history of its air force.
