Call for Global Support for Iran’s Future
Sylvan Adams, the president of the World Jewish Congress Israel Region, has initiated a worldwide campaign requesting international businesses to prepare for future investments in Iran, especially if there is a change in its government.
Adams emphasizes the importance of investing in vital areas like water, energy, healthcare, and infrastructure. He believes that such economic recovery is crucial for stabilizing Iran and aiding its citizens after years of strict governance.
This appeal follows Adams’s recent $100 million donation to the Soroka Medical Center, which was damaged by an Iranian missile during a conflict between Israel and Iran. In a video message, with Farsi subtitles aimed at the Iranian people, Adams assured them that he and other investors are ready to help rebuild Iran when the political climate allows.
Referring to his commitment to restoring Soroka Medical Center after it was hit, Adams stated, “The Iranian people deserve access to top-notch healthcare.” He further expressed his desire to gather prominent business leaders from around the world to assist Iranian hospitals once the regime changes.
This online campaign has gained significant traction, attracting millions of views and prompting discussions across social media.
Discussing the future possibility of economic renewal, Adams mentioned that Iran’s economy must be rebuilt from scratch and that many investors are willing to contribute. “I know numerous investors who would gladly invest in the hardworking and brave people of Iran,” he noted.
Addressing the Iranian populace directly, Adams shared his confidence in their ability to overthrow their oppressive regime, stating, “I stand with you. Israel stands with you. The global Jewish community stands with you. All good people stand with you.”
This initiative comes amidst ongoing protests in Iran, with widespread support for the Iranian people’s fight for freedom from the current regime being voiced by Israelis and Jewish communities worldwide, despite rising regional tensions.
Adams, a prominent philanthropist and advocate, has a personal history tied to the Jewish narrative, being the son of Holocaust survivors and with a father who fought in Israel’s War of Independence. Through his extensive philanthropic work, he aims to strengthen the relationship between Israel and the global community during challenging times.
Previously, Adams donated $100 million to Ben-Gurion University to foster developments in southern Israel after recent attacks. His impactful contributions have earned him recognition on TIME magazine’s list of the world’s most influential donors.
