Proteas Find Comfort in Ahmedabad, But Stay Cautious
For the South African cricket team, Ahmedabad has started to feel like a second home. Out of the five matches they’ve played in the tournament, four have taken place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, with only one game against the United Arab Emirates standing out. Their most exciting moment came with a nail-biting Super Over victory against Afghanistan, but overall, South Africa has shown strong performances at this venue.
However, left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj believes that they shouldn’t take anything for granted. He pointed out that although they’ve played several matches here, each one has been on different pitches. Maharaj stressed that it’s not about being comfortable or familiar but about quickly adapting to the conditions and making necessary adjustments to their gameplay.
