Multiverse, a rising star in the edtech industry, has welcomed Jay Richman as its new Chief Product Officer. Richman previously worked as Vice President for Product and Technology at Amazon, where he spent three years focusing on advanced AI technologies.

Before his time at Amazon, Richman was at Spotify for nearly ten years, taking on various roles, including leading monetization efforts. His new position with Multiverse will require him to move from New York to London, where he will oversee the growth of the company’s educational platform. This platform combines human instructors with an AI coach named Atlas, designed to embody Socratic teaching methods.

Richman expressed his enthusiasm for joining Multiverse, stating, “It feels like the right company, in the right place, at the right time. While many tech companies are aimed at making machines smarter, Multiverse is focused on creating systems that enhance human intelligence. Our goal is to develop a product experience that keeps customers engaged, helping us expand our mission globally.”

Throughout his career, Richman has been instrumental in launching key projects, including Hulu’s streaming service and Spotify’s various revenue streams, including advertising and podcasting.

Euan Blair, CEO of Multiverse, highlighted Richman’s impressive track record, stating, “Jay has created technology platforms that change how people engage with media and content, leading to significant changes in behavior. His expertise in AI systems will be crucial as we strive to equip individuals with the skills needed to thrive in a tech-driven world.”

Blair added that Richman shares Multiverse’s vision, emphasizing that the true power of AI lies in enhancing human capabilities rather than just improving efficiency.
