Afghanistan Names Richard Pybus as New Head Coach
Afghanistan has officially appointed Richard Pybus as the new head coach of their national cricket team, taking over from Jonathan Trott. Trott’s time as coach came to an end after the Men’s T20 World Cup, where the team did not make it past the group stage, facing losses against New Zealand and South Africa.
Pybus is set to step in just in time for Afghanistan’s upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates. The tour kicks off with three T20 matches in Sharjah, starting on March 13, followed by three One Day Internationals (ODIs) in Dubai, beginning on March 20.
