Rhea Chakraborty is making her return to the big screen after a long break. She gained fame with her debut film Mere Dad Ki Maruti in 2013 and featured in several popular movies. However, after being implicated in the controversy surrounding the tragic death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, her career faced significant setbacks, and she stepped back from the spotlight.
Now, she is ready to make a comeback with the Netflix original series Family Business, which was announced at the ‘Next On Netflix’ event in Mumbai. Rhea shared the stage with notable names like Anil Kapoor, Vijay Varma, and director Hansal Mehta during the announcement.
Her last film was the 2021 release Chehre alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi, and since then, she has been a host on MTV Roadies for two seasons. With Family Business, this will mark her first significant project in five years.
Despite facing intense media scrutiny and public backlash in connection to the investigations into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, no charges were ever proven against Rhea. Her latest role not only signifies a professional revival but also represents an important moment for her, offering a chance to redefine her career with new roles and opportunities in the industry.
