Death Threats and Extortion Demand Target Singer B Praak
Popular singer B Praak has received alarming news—a threatening call from someone claiming to be connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The caller demanded an extortion payment of ₹10 crores, prompting police to take action and increase security for the artist.
The situation began when a close friend of B Praak, named Dilnoor, received missed calls from an international number on January 5. The following day, he received another call that felt suspicious and was quickly disconnected. Shortly after that, a voice message arrived from the same number. In the recording, the caller, who identified himself as Arju Bishnoi, insisted on the ₹10 crore payment within one week. He also warned that if anyone close to B Praak was found nearby, there would be serious consequences. “If you don’t meet our demand, we will reduce him to dust,” the message stated.
This concerning message has now been shared with local authorities as part of the official complaint. Police are currently assessing B Praak’s security and are working to trace the origin of the calls, aiming to determine whether the threat came from a real member of the Bishnoi gang or someone misusing the name.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang is notorious for its involvement in high-profile extortion and threats against celebrities in India. Concerns about organized crime targeting public figures have led to a swift response from the Mohali police. Officials have mentioned that they will not disclose further details at this point to ensure the investigation remains intact.
