Jeetendra and Tusshar Kapoor Cash In on Mumbai Real Estate with NTT Deal Worth Rs 559.24 Crores: Sources

Veteran actor Jeetendra Kapoor and his son Tusshar Kapoor have successfully sold a commercial property in Mumbai for an impressive ₹559.24 crores. This significant deal was finalized on January 9, 2026, and has caught the attention of global investors looking to tap into India’s digital infrastructure.

The property, located in Balaji IT Park in the suburban area of Chandivali, features a ground-plus-10-storey building that includes a data center, along with a nearby four-storey complex for diesel generators. The buyer, NTT Global Data Centres, is part of the well-known NTT Group from Tokyo, which is recognized worldwide for its data center and cloud services.

This acquisition reflects NTT’s plans to grow its business in India, where the demand for digital infrastructure is rapidly increasing due to factors like cloud computing and enhanced connectivity. According to documents from real estate consultancy Square Yards, the sold area measures about 30,195 square meters (around 325,000 square feet), placing it in one of Mumbai’s promising commercial sectors. Notably, the transaction benefited from a government resolution in 2024 that exempted it from regular stamp duty, requiring only a small metro cess.

This isn’t the first notable real estate venture for the Kapoor family. In May 2025, they sold another large piece of land in Andheri, also to NTT Global Data Centres, for a striking ₹855 crores, marking it as one of the biggest land deals in Mumbai that year.
