Bangladesh’s Youth and Sports Adviser, Asif Nazrul, has raised concerns about the safety of Bangladeshi cricketers in India. This has led to doubts about whether Bangladesh will participate in the upcoming T20 World Cup matches scheduled in India. Nazrul mentioned that ongoing campaigns against Bangladesh have made it “impossible” for the team to play there, expressing his demand for a neutral venue like Sri Lanka for their matches instead.
He also questioned the impartiality of the International Cricket Council (ICC), suggesting that it might be influenced by India. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is currently waiting for a final decision from the ICC, with a travel timeline for the team set for January 26.
