Singer Mika Singh has taken a significant step in supporting animal welfare by offering 10 acres of land for the care of stray dogs. This commitment highlights his growing involvement in initiatives aimed at improving the lives of animals in need.
In a media statement, Mika expressed his motivation by saying, “I have always had a soft corner for animals… I want to do something for those who do not have a voice.” His generous offer shows his dedication to animal welfare, going beyond just speaking up for them.
The land, located on the outskirts of Mumbai, will be transformed into a space where stray dogs can find shelter, care, rehabilitation, and medical attention. Mika mentioned, “This land will become a safe haven for stray dogs. It won’t just be a shelter — we aim to provide proper healthcare and a secure environment where these animals can thrive.”
Plans for the facility include collaboration with veterinarians, animal welfare organizations, and volunteers to ensure ongoing support for the dogs. The design will feature spacious kennels, play areas, quarantine zones, and a medical unit.
Mika also reached out to the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, urging them to reconsider any actions that could negatively impact the welfare of dogs. His appeal shows his deep concern for animal rights.
