Cooling System Stocks Take a Hit After Nvidia CEO’s Comments

Shares of companies that produce cooling systems faced a significant drop in the stock market yesterday. This decline came after Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, expressed concerns about future demand for cooling products used in data centers.

Trane Technologies, a manufacturer of water-chilled cooling equipment, experienced its biggest intraday drop since 2020, with shares plunging up to 11%. Modine Manufacturing saw an even larger fall, with its stock dropping as much as 21%. Other companies, including Johnson Controls International and Carrier Global, also reported declines in their share prices.

Investors are now closely watching these developments, as the cooling industry will likely feel the impact of shifts in demand from large data centers that rely on efficient cooling solutions.
