East Haven Woman Shares Inspiring Mental Health Journey Ahead of Mental Wellness Month
An East Haven resident has opened up publicly for the first time about her experiences with mental health, just before Mental Wellness Month begins.
Victoria Molta, a 64-year-old author, recently self-published a book titled “Lost Before I Could See: Navigating My Way Through Mental Illness.” In her book, she emphasizes the importance of tackling mental health challenges head-on.
In an interview, Molta expressed her core message: “Don’t give up. Always keep hope that you can improve. Never, ever lose hope.” She highlighted that self-awareness is crucial for healing. “You have to look within yourself. Ignoring the issue won’t help you get better,” she added.
Next month, Molta will be honored in Bridgeport for her efforts to raise awareness about mental health and addiction. She is also dedicated to reducing the stigma surrounding these issues.
Her book is available for purchase online, offering support and insight for those on their own mental health journeys.
