Dhurandhar’s Viral Moment: Akshaye Khanna Dances Through Challenges
The buzz surrounding Dhurandhar is palpable online, largely due to its striking real-life connections and memorable performances. The song ‘FA9LA’, showcasing Akshaye Khanna’s character, Rehman Dacait, making a grand entrance at a celebration in Balochistan, has taken social media by storm since its release on December 5.
This catchy tune has become a favorite among users, with many sharing videos and Reels highlighting its energetic dance moments. In a recent chat, choreographer Vijay Ganguly shared some behind-the-scenes insights.
Ganguly revealed that the dance was not originally planned for Khanna. “He was supposed to enter, walk through the dancers, and then sit on the throne. But once he saw the dancers’ energy, he decided to join in. It was a spontaneous performance, and none of us knew what he had in mind,” Ganguly noted.
The film’s director, Aditya Dhar, recreated the landscape of Balochistan in Ladakh, an area known for its stunning views but also for causing high-altitude sickness. Unfortunately, Khanna experienced this firsthand while shooting. He had to use an oxygen mask and carry an oxygen cylinder to help him through the process.
“Akshaye would have a small oxygen tank with him. His oxygen levels dropped while we were filming. After each shot, he took a moment to use the mask before continuing,” Ganguly explained. Despite these challenges, Khanna pushed through and delivered an impressive performance.
Ganguly also mentioned that while working with Khanna on Chhaava earlier this year, he noticed how dedicated the actor is. “He doesn’t engage much outside work; he’s deeply focused on his roles and constantly thinking about how to enhance his performance,” he shared.
Dhurandhar continues to capture audiences, making waves across various platforms as fans eagerly discuss its exciting visuals and engaging music.
