In the wake of the pandemic, late-night movie screenings have gained immense popularity. Films that attract significant audiences often schedule shows around midnight and beyond. One of the pioneers of this trend was Sooryavanshi in 2021, followed by successful films like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Drishyam 2, Jawan, Pathaan, and more.
Recently, Dhurandhar has joined this growing list. As of December 5, six theaters in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region have announced post-midnight and early morning screenings for Dhurandhar. Maxus Cinema in Bhayandar stands out by hosting eight shows from midnight until 7:00 AM, with times ranging from 12:45 AM to 6:15 AM. Maxus’ Borivali branch follows closely with four late-night shows at 12:55 AM, 2:00 AM, 5:00 AM, and 6:00 AM. Other theaters like Metro Inox, PVR Citi Mall, and MovieMax Sion are also adding early morning slots for viewers eager to catch the film.
Additionally, several other cinemas, such as Inox Sky City Mall in Borivali and PVRs in various locations, have planned screenings for 11:59 PM or 11:55 PM on Friday. These shows are expected to transition into the post-midnight category as they commence after midnight.
Dhurandhar has not only captured attention with its screenings but also hints at future expansions, including a sequel planned for release during Eid in March 2026.
