Netanyahu Urges Regional Allies to Unite in Battle Against Hamas

Netanyahu Urges Neighbors to Unite Against Hamas

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called on neighboring countries to work together with Israel in efforts to remove Hamas from the region. In a statement posted on social media platform X, Netanyahu expressed, “Israel extends its hand in peace and prosperity to all of our neighbors and encourages them to normalize relations with us while joining the fight against Hamas and its backers.”

This call to action comes after the United Nations Security Council approved a peace plan regarding Gaza, proposed by former President Donald Trump. The plan aims to end ongoing conflicts and introduce an international stabilization force.

During the council’s address, a representative referred to Gaza as “a hell on earth,” highlighting the urgent need for a resolution that could turn devastation into hope. The proposal was passed with a unanimous vote of 14-0, with two countries abstaining.

Netanyahu’s office welcomed the UNSC’s approval, stating, “We believe this plan will pave the way for peace and prosperity, emphasizing complete disarmament and deradicalization in Gaza.” The statement also included requests for the release of hostages still being held.

In addition to urging international cooperation, Israel hopes that the peace plan will lead to the expansion of the Abraham Accords, a series of agreements that normalized relations between Israel and a few Arab nations, including the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco.

Netanyahu’s administration emphasized the vision put forth by President Trump, suggesting that it could foster further integration between Israel and its neighbors while strengthening alliances with the United States.

As the peace deal unfolds, a high-ranking official from the Trump administration expressed optimism that it could lead to an improved atmosphere in the region, encouraging more countries to join the agreements.

It remains to be seen how these developments will affect relations in the Middle East moving forward.
