FIFA Teams Up with DoorDash for Upcoming World Cups
FIFA has officially announced that DoorDash will be an official tournament supporter for both the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Women’s World Cup.
This partnership covers nine countries, including the United States, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, and the United Kingdom. Deliveroo and Wolt, which are part of DoorDash’s global brand, will also take part in this collaboration.
As the designated supporter for on-demand delivery and restaurant reservations, DoorDash will introduce its new in-app restaurant booking feature. This will allow fans in selected U.S. cities to easily find and reserve tables at local restaurants while they gather to watch the games.
Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho, who lifted the World Cup trophy in 2002, expressed his excitement about the partnership. He said, “Joining DoorDash for this campaign reminds me of how I began my career—having fun with the ball and creating magic. For me, football is about making the impossible happen and sharing joy with fans. DoorDash embodies that spirit of connection, celebrating the game and the tastes that bring us together. I hope fans feel that joy, whether they’re at home or in the stands.”
Romy Gai, FIFA’s Chief Business Officer, shared her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome DoorDash to the FIFA Tournament Supporter family. The FIFA World Cup and Women’s World Cup bring together billions of fans, and through this partnership, we will find new ways to create unforgettable experiences. DoorDash’s strong presence in local markets and their commitment to connection aligns perfectly with our major events.”
