Bihar Election Results 2025: Counting Day Begins
Today marks a significant event as the counting of votes for the Bihar Assembly elections kicks off. According to the Election Commission of India, the ballot counting began at 8 a.m. on November 14. The full results are expected to be announced later in the evening. Early exit polls indicate a strong chance for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to maintain its hold on power.
Predictions from Axis My India suggest that the NDA could secure between 121 and 141 seats, while their main rival, the Mahagathbandhan (MGB), is anticipated to win between 98 and 118 seats. Today’s Chanakya has even more optimistic forecasts for the BJP, projecting a potential victory of around 160 seats, with the RJD possibly winning 77 and other parties capturing six seats in the 243-member Assembly.
In addition to the Bihar elections, today is also important for the assembly by-elections held on November 11 across six states and one Union Territory. Voters in regions such as Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Telangana, Punjab, Mizoram, and Odisha participated in these elections to fill vacancies created earlier in the year. The Election Commission had announced the start of this process back on October 13.
