The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025 is just around the corner, taking place in Goa from November 20 to November 28. This year’s festival promises an exciting lineup of films, particularly in the Hindi category.
Kicking off the festivities is the dystopian drama The Blue Trail, Brazil’s entry for the upcoming Academy Awards. It previously secured the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival.
Among the films set to make their gala premieres is Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders, which continues the story from the 2020 Netflix hit. This sequel will feature actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte, along with Chitrangada Singh and others. It will be screened on November 21.
Another highly anticipated film, Gustaakh Ishq, will debut at IFFI on November 24, ahead of its worldwide release on November 28. Similarly, Vadh 2, featuring renowned actors Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra, will have its premiere on November 23.
Notably, The Family Man’s eagerly awaited Season 3 will also be showcased on November 21. Along with this, 120 Bahadur will premiere the same day. On the festival’s final day, November 28, attendees will also get to see Tere Ishk Mein.
A special highlight is the premiere of Calorie, featuring Anupam Kher, scheduled for November 23, before its release in Canada.
The festival will also celebrate classic films, including a screening of the legendary Sholay on November 26, marking its 50th anniversary with a restored version being shown for the first time in India. Additionally, Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction will screen on November 21 in one of Goa’s largest cinema halls.
In addition to these highlights, other memorable Hindi films will be showcased, such as Dr Kotnis Ki Amar Kahani and Umrao Jaan. Attendees will also get the opportunity to watch some of the best Hindi films from 2025, followed by Q&A sessions with filmmakers.
Kesari Chapter 2 is set to screen on November 27, and details regarding a potential audience interaction with its director are still pending.
As the festival draws closer, the closing film announcement is also awaited, alongside masterclasses featuring renowned personalities like Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani, and Anupam Kher.
The IFFI is gearing up to be a fantastic event for film lovers, offering a mix of new releases and cherished classics.
