Title: Mohammed Shami Questions BCCI’s Selection Decisions Amidst Fitness Debate

A new controversy has arisen involving senior Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The selection committee, led by chief selector Ajit Agarkar, has been at the center of this dispute.

Shami recently expressed his concerns, stating, “The Indian team did not communicate with me regarding my fitness. I shouldn’t have to let them know about my condition.” His remarks come as he raises questions over his exclusion from the upcoming tour of Australia. He believes that since he has been playing four-day Ranji Trophy matches for Bengal, he should also be considered for the One Day International (ODI) squad.

Agarkar had previously voiced concerns about Shami’s recent lack of regular match practice, which contributed to the decision not to select him. However, Shami firmly insists he is fit and ready to represent India whenever needed, leading to a growing tension between him and the national selectors.

As this situation unfolds, eyes will be on how both the player and the BCCI handle this disagreement.
