Rajasthan Police Arrest Local Man for Alleged Spying for Pakistan’s ISI
In a significant development, Rajasthan Police have taken into custody Mangat Singh, a resident of Alwar, for allegedly engaging in espionage for Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). This arrest is made under the Official Secrets Act of 1923.
The investigation began when authorities noticed suspicious activities involving Mangat Singh, who lives in Govindgarh, Alwar, particularly in a cantonment area. Reports suggest that Singh may have fallen victim to a honey-trap orchestrated by a woman identified only by the name Isha Sharma. She reportedly lured him with promises of money in exchange for his cooperation.
Following the surveillance and subsequent findings, a case was registered against him at the Special Police Station in Jaipur. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Rajasthan has now confirmed his arrest. The case highlights ongoing concerns regarding national security and espionage activities.
