At a multiplex in Mumbai, the trailer launch for Lord Curzon Ki Haveli attracted several key figures, including Rasika Dugal, Arjun Mathur, Paresh Pahuja, Tanmay Dhanania, and director Anshuman Jha. Anshuman was excited as he shared insights about the film and mentioned that Anurag Kashyap was initially expected to present it. However, he later explained the reasons this did not happen.
Anshuman noted, “Anurag sir saw the film and was very kind with his feedback, which is included in the trailer. We all have busy lives, and to paraphrase Anurag Kashyap, he kind of ghosted me for three months,” he smiled.
He elaborated that, after a long wait without communication, he had to take action. “I couldn’t wait forever. Varun Gupta stepped in to help as a presenter,” he added.
Expressing gratitude, Anshuman said, “I understand that nobody owes me anything. Anurag loved the film, and I’m thankful for his support, but he wasn’t available when we were trying to reach him. I needed to consider my responsibilities to the investors and the team. I believe he will support us once the film is released.”
Reflecting on the importance of communication, he remarked, “Even a simple message saying someone can’t participate helps in moving forward. I waited for three months, adhering to my personal rule of giving chances. If I don’t hear back after that, I let it go without hard feelings. Maybe it just wasn’t meant to be.”
Lord Curzon Ki Haveli is set to hit theaters on October 10.
