Dhaka – Bangladesh, known as the world’s second-largest clothing exporter, is turning to technology to tackle a significant issue in the fashion industry: textile waste.

To better manage this waste, manufacturers can now use cloud-based software. This innovative tool helps them sort, label, and register waste digitally. It allows for tracking as the waste moves between factories, handlers, and recyclers.

Rizvan Hasan, who leads operations in Bangladesh for Reverse Resources, a company that develops this software, is at the forefront of this initiative.
