Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Promotes Telangana as a Safe Investment Hub

On Saturday, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy emphasized that Hyderabad and Telangana are among India’s safest places for investment, promising security and profit potential for investors. Speaking at the Telangana Tourism Conclave-2025 held at Shilparamam in Hitec City, he noted the successful hosting of an international event that welcomed delegates from various countries, even amidst rising tensions between India and Pakistan in May.

“Investors can feel secure in Hyderabad. The Government of India has ranked our city as the safest for investments,” Revanth stated. He assured attendees that although governments have changed since 1994, policies aimed at encouraging development have remained stable. “This government will safeguard your investments and interests. Telangana truly means business, and I guarantee this,” he added.

The Chief Minister congratulated Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and tourism special chief secretary Jayesh Ranjan for attracting investments worth ₹15,279 crore in the tourism sector. “Though my initial target was ₹15,000 crore, I have heard that investments might rise to ₹50,000 crore shortly, thanks to our robust tourism policies,” he said.

Revanth pointed out that for nearly ten years, Telangana lacked a solid tourism policy until the Congress government introduced one after examining successful models from around the globe. He highlighted unique attractions in the state, comparing them to famous landmarks worldwide such as the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower.

“Hyderabad is home to the Charminar, Golconda Fort, and a vibrant Film City. Beyond the city, we have beautiful tiger reserves, the UNESCO-recognized Ramappa Temple, and the Thousand Pillar Temple, among other sites,” he noted.

Revanth described Telangana as a premier destination for eco-tourism, temple tourism, and medical tourism, highlighting the increasing number of visitors from Asian countries and the Middle East seeking medical care.

He also mentioned that many historical structures from the Nizam era in Hyderabad have been overlooked over the years. “Hyderabad is not just an Old City; it is the original city. We aim to restore its former glory and position it alongside global cities like New York and Tokyo. Our focus extends beyond IT and Pharma to include tourism,” he concluded.
