Indonesia Offers Troops for Peacekeeping in Gaza

UNITED NATIONS: On Tuesday, Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto announced that his country is ready to send at least 20,000 troops as peacekeepers to Gaza to help secure any future peace agreement.

Speaking at the UN General Assembly, President Subianto expressed Indonesia’s commitment to a meaningful peace, emphasizing that true justice cannot be achieved through force. He stated, “We believe in the UN. We will act where peace is needed—not just with words, but with action.”

He added, “If the UN Security Council and this esteemed Assembly make the call, Indonesia is prepared to deploy 20,000 or even more of our sons and daughters to ensure peace in Gaza.”

In addition to Gaza, Indonesia is also open to sending peacekeepers to other conflict zones such as Ukraine, Sudan, or Libya.

Ongoing discussions between the United States and Arab nations about rebuilding Gaza have seen little progress, especially following two years of extensive Israeli attacks in retaliation for Hamas’s assaults.
