Drone Commandos Training in Madhya Pradesh
In just five weeks, 47 soldiers will graduate from a special BSF school in Madhya Pradesh, emerging as trained “drone commandos.” This unique program, known as the Drone Warfare School, was recently established at the force’s training center in Tekanpur. The initiative aims to enhance the use of drones following Operation Sindoor. The newly trained personnel will gain skills in operating drones for surveillance, combat, and countering other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The school will soon extend its training to senior officers, focusing on drone warfare strategies.
Environmental Clearance for Sawalkote Dam
The Sawalkote dam project on the Chenab River in Jammu and Kashmir is making headlines again as India looks to harness the river’s hydropower potential. With the Indus Waters Treaty currently on hold, an expert panel from the Environment Ministry is set to assess the 1,865 MW dam project for environmental clearance this week.
