Governor Advocates for Constructive Criticism in Indian Politics
Shimla: On Wednesday, Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla expressed that if Indian politics shifts from fault-finding to constructive criticism, the nation could achieve developed status well before 2047.
He spoke at a ‘National Conference and Book Release’ event hosted by the Narendra Modi Study Centre, which celebrated Prime Minister Modi’s 75th birthday at the India International Centre in New Delhi.
Governor Shukla also shared that he initiated a “Drug-Free Himachal” campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, a topic now discussed in nearly every panchayat across the state. He emphasized that protecting the future of Himachal is vital.
During the event, he released seven books that highlight Prime Minister Modi’s life and contributions. The governor praised the Prime Minister’s leadership over the past 11 years, noting that the development journey has enhanced governance and positively impacted the daily lives of citizens.
He highlighted various initiatives that focus on self-reliance, innovation, social justice, and empowering women, underscoring the importance of clean energy and global cooperation. Shukla believes these efforts will guide future generations towards a brighter tomorrow.
