Aamir Khan Productions has announced the release date for their upcoming romantic drama, Mere Raho, which will hit theaters on December 12, 2025. The film stars Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi and is directed by Sunil Pandey, with production by Mansoor Khan and Aamir Khan himself.
The confirmation of the release date comes after some earlier confusion regarding the film. Initially, it was believed to be titled Ek Din, with a possible release on November 7, 2025, which would have put it in direct competition with Ikkis, featuring Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda.
Mere Raho is set against the beautiful backdrop of Japan’s winter scenery, showcasing the famous Snow Festival in Sapporo. Filming began in early 2024, but the team faced challenges with unexpected heavy snowfall. However, their determination paid off, and production is now well ahead of schedule.
For Junaid Khan, this marks his third acting role, and his second theatrical release. He debuted in Yash Raj Films’ Maharaj, which received positive feedback. Although his first film in theaters, Loveyapa, didn’t perform as expected, Mere Raho is seen as a strong opportunity for him, especially with acclaimed actress Sai Pallavi by his side.
As the release date approaches, Mere Raho will enter a competitive December box office with Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Dhurandhar and an untitled project by Vishal Bhardwaj featuring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri set to release just a week prior.
