This year, one film has truly captured the hearts of many and become a global hit. Yash Raj Films and Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, featuring rising stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has become the highest-grossing romantic film in Indian cinema’s history. After an impressive run in theaters, the movie is set to be available for streaming in 190 countries on Netflix starting September 12, 2025.

Saiyaara tells a heartfelt story of love, music, and fate. The characters Krish, a passionate musician, and Vaani, a lyricist facing challenging circumstances, have struck a chord with audiences around the world. This film goes beyond a simple love story; it speaks to everyone who believes in love, emphasizing themes of loss and second chances.

Director Mohit Suri expressed his excitement about the film’s availability on Netflix, saying, “Saiyaara will always hold a special place in my heart. The way audiences embraced it in theaters was wonderful. Now, as it begins its journey on Netflix, I’m thrilled that more people can discover the touching love story of Krish and Vaani. Love stories are universal, and I hope Saiyaara resonates with hearts everywhere.”

Akshaye Widhani, CEO of Yash Raj Films, noted that with Saiyaara, the film industry has reached a significant milestone. He mentioned, “This film has redefined romance on-screen, offering a timeless love story and showcasing the talent of two remarkable newcomers. Saiyaara has become a major cultural moment, not just in India but for South Asians globally. As it premieres on Netflix, we expect its beautiful tale, unforgettable music, and heartfelt emotions to connect with audiences around the world.”

Monika Shergill, Vice-President of Content at Netflix India, commented on the film’s success. She said, “Saiyaara has moved beyond just box office numbers to become a true cultural phenomenon. Thanks to Mohit Suri’s artistic vision and YRF’s legacy of creating iconic love stories, Saiyaara provides the new generation with a love story they can cherish. The film features remarkable performances by Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, which have instantly resonated with viewers. Now, with the film streaming on Netflix, we’re excited to see even more audiences connect with it.”

Saiyaara marks a new chapter in Netflix’s partnership with Yash Raj Films, being the first of its theatrical releases to debut on the platform, with more titles to follow.

Make sure to catch Saiyaara exclusively streaming on Netflix starting September 12th.
