Actor Tusshar Kapoor, known for his recent appearance in Kapkapiii, is preparing for an exciting new role in the political thriller Janadesh. This film is directed by the well-respected Prakash Jha and features a strong ensemble cast, with Tusshar taking on an important character.
Tusshar recently shared how he got involved with the project. He mentioned, “Prakash ji reached out to me and said he had a character for me. It really came out of the blue, almost like a sign from the universe.”
Having mostly played comedic roles in the past, Tusshar views Janadesh as a great opportunity to explore new territory. He stated, “It wasn’t a conscious choice to step away from my usual image. I’ve always wanted to do a political thriller, especially with someone like Prakash Jha, whose work I truly admire. I feel lucky to have this chance to challenge myself as an actor.”
He also discussed his preparation for the role, explaining that he has been engaging in mini-workshops with Prakash Jha to better understand the character and the director’s vision for the film.
When asked about his character, Tusshar clarified that it isn’t based on any particular person. “It’s a fictional character inspired by real people and true events. The goal is to keep it authentic and believable, and that’s what I’m focusing on,” he elaborated.
As he steps into this new role, audiences can expect to see a different side of Tusshar Kapoor, far from his usual comedic performances.
