BJP Challenges Rahul Gandhi on Election Claims

NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its scrutiny of Rahul Gandhi, urging him to validate his allegations of election fraud. The BJP points out that Gandhi has yet to respond to the Election Commission’s (EC) invitation to formally affirm his claims in an affidavit. They suggested that if he truly lacks confidence in the election process, he should resign from his position in the Lok Sabha.

This development comes a day after Gandhi chose not to meet with the Chief Electoral Officer of Karnataka. He dismissed the idea of substantiating his accusations in the format required by the EC. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia has also called for resignations from other prominent Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, as well as Chief Ministers in Congress-led states, stating that they should step down if they do not trust the integrity of the elections.
