Nat Sciver-Brunt Breaks Century Mark in The Hundred
England’s cricket captain, Nat Sciver-Brunt, has made her mark in the sport by becoming the first player to score 1,000 runs in The Hundred. With an impressive total of 1,031 runs in just 30 matches for the Trent Rockets, her average stands strong at 49.09, showcasing her skill and reliability on the field.
Sciver-Brunt achieved this milestone during a match against Birmingham Phoenix on August 8 at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Close behind her are competitors Danni Wyatt and Laura Wolvaardt, who have scored 939 and 871 runs, respectively. But for now, Sciver-Brunt’s record remains unmatched.

Despite her stellar performance of 64 runs from 40 balls—featuring eight boundaries and a six—Sciver-Brunt’s efforts fell short as the Rockets lost to the Phoenix by 11 runs. The Phoenix set a challenging score of 148 for five, thanks in large part to Emma Lamb’s quick-fire 55 runs off 32 balls and Marie Kelly’s rapid 23 runs from just 10 balls.
In reply, Bryony Smith scored 29 from 19 balls, but the Rockets could only reach 137 runs for six, with Hannah Baker and Emily Arlott each taking two wickets for the Phoenix.
